A USPTA-certified professional, Bob has enjoyed teaching tennis at NCRC since 1997 while spending his summers as the Director of Tennis at the Riverside Yacht Club since 2000. His previous experience includes teaching at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, Georgetown Country Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan and the St. Paul Urban Tennis Program as well as Norton Pines Athletic Club in Spring Lake, Michigan.
A native of Madison, Wisconsin who was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, he brings a certain Midwestern charm to his tennis instruction. While playing top level Division II tennis for St. Cloud State University and Ferris State University, he gained All-State accolades in Minnesota while earning his BS in marketing and professional tennis management.
Bob enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three teenagers, cooking everything - especially seafood and Creole dishes - and exercising. Bob loves the way tennis brings people from all backgrounds together. He has been known to remind tennis players, "Winning is great, but losing builds character!" That said, he has earned a reputation for helping people make small adjustments that make a big difference in their tennis game.
